Camry features large disc brakes - 11\" Front and Rear - for confident, stable braking performance.

Standard on all models, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist (BA) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). ABS anticipates then acts to help prevent wheel lock-up in emergency braking situations. BA increases braking power if the system determines the driver has not applied enough force for the situation. EBD distributes brake force to each wheel in accordance with road conditions and vehicle load. Together, Camry delivers advanced braking technology that helps you stop quickly and safely in emergency situations.

Standard on all models is next generation Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC). These ever-improving systems enable Camry to better anticipate wheel slip and then react in a more subtle, surer manner.

Camry Hybrid offers additional braking performance with Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM). Utilizing a series of sensors, VDIM is capable of anticipating pending stability problems and automatically taking corrective measures -- orchestrating the efforts of Camry Hybrid\'s numerous standard safety features, including: Electric Power Steering, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Brake Assist and ABS.

Driver and front passenger seats feature Whiplash Injury Lessening Seats (WIL-seats). In the event of collision, the seat structure works to help reduce impact to the neck area and to help prevent seats from tilting backwards.

All seating positions feature 3-Point Lap and Shoulder Belts. Front Seats also boast Seatbelt Pre-Tensioners and Force Limiters. In the event of a collision, the Pre-Tensioner and Force Limiter remove slack from the Seatbelt, absorbing energy, and reducing the force placed by the Seatbelt on the occupant\'s chest.

Camry comes standard with a full complement of seven airbags, including: Front Dual-stage Airbags, Front Seat-side Mounted Airbags, Front and Rear Curtain Shield Airbags and a Driver\'s Knee Airbag.
